About a year ago, I shared a selection of Wilkie’s favourite picture books, many of which are still on rotation as his favourite bedtime reads. But he’s beginning to enjoy the slightly longer stories now, and we have a few to add to that list. I snapped a photo of his current go-to books, most of them he can pretty much read to himself because we’ve read them at least 100 times! I keep walking in on Wilkie sitting in his room reading ‘There is a Bird on Your Head!’ to himself — it’s so sweet!
Here are his current favourite picture books:
- And the Train Goes… by William Bee
- A Sick Day for Amos McGee by Philip C. Stead
- The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson
- There is a Bird on your Head! by Mo Willems
- Harry the Dirty Dog by Gene Zion
- Koala Lou by Mem Fox
- Tough Boris by Mem Fox
- I Really Want to Eat a Child by Sylviane Donnio
Please share what picture books are on heavy rotation in your house. I always love book recommendations!
